Easy Room Decor DIY: Picture String

This DIY is super easy and a great way to incorporate those thousands of pictures you have crammed in your photo albums into your room decor. It is best to hang on a wall that there aren't many pictures or shelves already hung.

The supplies you'll need include:
-Mini Clothes Pins, which are likely available at your local craft store (I bought mine at Joann Fabrics)
-A String of Hemp or Twine (I chose Hemp)
-And a collection of pictures of you or things that inspire you

First, attach your hemp string to the wall. I used Scotch tape to adhere the string to the wall since it's a light decoration. I used three layers because I have a lot of photos to hang. You could also add string to another wall if you want your decoration to be bigger.

Next, you will start clothes pinning pictures up where ever you see best. I have a few additional steps if you'd like to add more life to the picture string.

 The things you'll need include:
-Fake flowers (I ripped mine off of an old bouquet)
-A glue gun and glue
-And a magazine so you won't get glue on your surface

Apply hot glue to the back of the flower around the stem if the flower has one. If not, then simply apply to the back of the flower.

Immediately press the flower onto the part of the photo string you'd like it to be on and wrap the hemp string around the stem. If the flower does not have a stem, just press it onto the string and hold there until the glue has dried.

And finally, you have your finished product. Add as many pictures and flowers as you want.
